I have not heard a peep about the 39. I am hanging with the one I have. Ran it earlier this week in the gulf with a bunch of other hot rods and without a doubt the hull holds it's own in the snot. On smooth water, different deal. Life is good

That boat was made for the Atlantic Ocean off New Jersey.Until you have actually run in it its hard to describe (ask anyone that has ever run the Point Pleasant race.)From dead flat to over TRUE 6 Footers in an hour with the change of the wind.

Up here the only smooth water where you could run a 40 footer over 100 mph would be the Shrewsbury or Navasink Rivers .In either case the New Jersey State Police would probably impound the boat and escort the owner to jail.As i said in my earlier post the Atlantic Ocean (9 out of 10days) is just too rough to run that kind of speed without taking your life in your hands.

Yup, no doubt the Atlantic is tough. Ran that thing almost every summer weekend from 86 through 98 out of Little Egg Inlet. Back in the days when we had lots of action outside.

Compared to the Gulf side, Atlantic is much more difficult to run fast in. Swells vs wave action in Gulf. On the East side of FL I would say the water is close to the same as Atlantic. Atlantic we get the NE winds, which with tides and swells and such can make things enteresting. Personally I really like the Gulf for running. In the Atlantic it probably helps to have a boat that is good on re-entry and not prone to stuffing and definetly have more air time than Gulf side
