Default 30' vs. 31'

The 30' is 29'-5" and the 31' is 30'-9". Are the hulls identical other than the last 16"?

Okay, no info on that. How about where the Sutphen 30' hull design came from? Was it an adaptation of another hull design?

I've had 2-30's & have a 31 now. I like the 31 better it seems to ride a bit different in the rough. All mine were factory built race boats & that does make a difference.

They were setup buy Sutphen to kick azz in what use to be Ocean Racing.

If I'm not mistaken, those are Richie's own designs.

Richie started laying up in AME 4000 back in the later 80's with the 30-31. Guessing 88 or so? 31 has a bubble deck, supposedly better nose lift vs the 30 flat deck?

all of the hulls and decks are Richie's design....in fact I saw on one of the other threads that he has designed and is in "plug" stage on a new 40' deck.
