sutphen splashes?
Has anyone ever use a sutphen to splash another boat? almost every company has a hull that was originally something else, and modified or just renamed. I would think Sutphens would have to had some interest by someone.

I dont know if tempest was a splash but it is a very close copy of a sutphen Morgan and I were talking about it the other day.
He knows of some others too, but they all have changed the deck. no blatant copies that I know of...

Morgan said most of them just changed the deck.
It still isnt a sutphen because what seperates the MEN from the BOYS is build quality!
There arent too many companies innthe same class with sutphen on build quality.
I looked at allot of boats after selling my last one and I couldnt find anything I liked the quality of as much.
I looked at super boats of the same vintage and price and there was no comparison, Cigs werent too bad but they were all TANKS and heavy as hell. You needed stupid power to to run the same MPH etc.
Oddly I did see a nice tempest that was laid out just like my boat with 4 bolsters and OB's but it was a 77 or 78 hull redone. It was a really nice boat in fact I think it may have had tripple 250's
I never got farenouh into it to see the build quality cause I found my 31 sutphen and I was done looking, this boat was exactly what I was after, minus the windshiled.LOL
I ended up liking the freakin big windshiled too. Who would have thought that would happen.
