Here is a link I got from doing a google search. Scroll down and it has some info on the 500 bulldog. It is a factory Mercury Racing Engine that has not been touched other than the procharger and a good set of head gaskets. It was built by Mercury Racing for people that had intentions of adding a blower, supercharger, ect. This motor was about a 15k up grade from the 500hp, which was a 502. This engine is a 540cid. This info says 1999 but the spec are the same for the
2001.

Thanks
