Mercruiser 496 Waterpump Core
For sale is a Mercruiser brass water pump core part number 46-862914T08. As you can tell from the pictures, it does have some grooves in the cover and pump body. The pump was working fine when removed. Add a JC Marine water pump kit ( http://www.jcmarinellc.com/water_pump_kit.htm ) and have a better than new pump at a good price. The drain port on the intake side of the pump has been drilled and tapped for a 3/8 NPT fitting if you desire to add a water flush line here. If not, this can be sealed with a standard NPT plug.
