Multiple parts missing
Some parts will need to get rebuilt
Salt water
Bronze not polished
Needs repainting/powdercoating
NO Transmissions

No reason to get upset, the truth is the truth and obviously everyone agrees. I am a potential buyer, plus have many friends I am trying to convert to arneson lovers!

50% of new is a good estimate of what a used part should go for when it is complete turn key. Condition, age and missing parts help determine if the item should be for sale for more or less.

Within the past couple years I have watched, drooled, and missed out on 2 sets of Arneson ASD7 kits. Both sets were listed at 27k OBO for the pair. They were 99% MINT condition and only about a a year old. One came off a Cig that was re-rigged at OL with stock engines and Bravos due to not being able to get high octane fuel over seas. The second set came off of a Fountain CC that had Ilmors. New owner put stock engines and bravo 3 drives on it.

If you think I am wrong with my pricing you are welcome to make a list of missing parts with pricing so we can see what it will cost to actually rig them on a boat again.

New LIST is 24,500 even though many pay around 22k shipped

Helm Unit
Bell Housing
HD drive plate
Transmission
Driveline
Rear engine mount
Trim pump
etc

Ok, now I understand your reason for commenting about the value of the drives, a little market manipulation going on here.

I completely agree that a used part is generally worth 50% of new. Using that logic, the drives, turn key, should cost $24K. So, you are saying it will cost $16.5K to get these drives up and running? I don't agree with that. Maybe if you hire somebody to do all the work for you at $105 an hour it would cost that much in labor and parts, but even that would be a stretch.

Anyway, I do appreciate the exposure that you have provided because I have a PM box full of interest.

P.S. Sorry for getting upset with you

I didn't have them on a boat myself. I was told they were on some type of fast launch boat in the Northwest. The boat was grounded and damaged one of the drives. It is a long story regarding how I got them.

No problem. If you change your mind I'm still looking for one.

Thanks,
