Bravo28P - Labbed Prop
Guys,
I bought a Bravo28 from SickStinger a while back. I finally got a chance to try it out, and it's not gonna work out. It ran fine, planed off well, didn't break loose or anything, and accelerated pretty hard, it just topped out way too early. It has been labbed, but no idea what was actually done. Upon observation, the blades have been thinned a bit (sharp-ish leading edge), it's slightly undersized (Ø14-3/4"), some of the cup has been removed, and it's stamped "J Lab" on the rear of the hub
We normally run 76-77 at 5100RPM with the stick buried and trimmed out, and this prop ran 71-72 at 5300 or so, with a little left on the throttle that I wasn't willing to stab into. If I remember correctly, Sick told me it came off a 22' Baja that had some power. I think this prop was worked with a lighter boat and a higher prop RPM than I can muster.
I paid $750 shipped. Wouldn't mind getting that back. It has a hub that I couldn't get out, and I'll include the castle washer I bought to fit it to a Bravo1 drive.
Thanks. Brad.
