I am getting back on the highway. Se you guys later.

By the wya. I managed to spend 8 hours in a casino last night and have 20 mixed drinks without splitting blackjack.

I am only down about $60.

Not a bad night and morning.

I only needed Joew to tell the rest o the people how much they liked it in the can and I would have cleaned the place out.

Blower would not be for the Scarab. That would entail pulling the engine and swapping the pistons.

Which one are you going to pick up?
Actually not near as many as you have called WITHOUT buying one.

Seriously Maybe time to "think outside the box". There are some runabouts out there that handle pretty well and are pretty cheap used. For example the 23' Sea Ray we just bought has a Bravo 3 and 300hp 350MAG engine and we ran it 50 mph on its test drive. Why don't you look at a used Cobalt, Sea Ray or Formula with a big block and get 50+mph for $20K, and in a configuration likely to please the missus???? You don't really need to get an offshore hull if you're going to primarily stay on Lake Conroe.

Looking for something in the 28' Range and I don't want a run about. I do most of my boating on clearlake and in the bay.

Im just searching for the right boat right now and when i find it i will pull the trigger but that won't be untill after the wedding so for now i am just doing research thats why im not calling people to talk about their boats.

It will most likley be one of these
28' Apache
28' Pantera
26' Sonic
28' sonic
28'Active thunder
29' Scarab

28' is too short for the bay IMO. We had a 26' Formula right before our 33 Baja and MANY times we wanted to go out in the bay following everybody else but had to turn around before reaching the first buoy. Try to tame any irrational prejudice toward Baja and look at the 33 Outlaw. That I think is the minimum size for reasonable comfort in the bay. The 33 is a great boat. There are lots of good used freshwater 33's for sale and those on bajaboatsforsale.com are probably the best cared for. Women love the styling of Baja and I owned one for 2 years, and sold it for a loss of 5%. Can you say that for most brands?

don't have anything against Baja I like the boats. The reason im wanting to stay in the 28' Range is im not ready to buy a new truck.
I have looked at the 29 outlaw and like it.
I have thought about going larger and rack storing but would have a problem when i want to come up to conroe and to La for PR and to visit the family.

We pulled our 33 everywhere we went with my 1/2 ton Yukon. No problems, 75mph on the highway. Boat only weighs 8500.
