I bought these whenever I blew mine out. No welding and took me about five minutes to install.

Don't you have a big rubber hose that connects the pipes to the tails? Could you install a flapped inside there between the pipe and the tail? Then it would be easier to service.

That is what I was thinkin. The ones MBA posted should go up the tail before it goes in the rubber hose. The ones I posted would be an issue in the rubber hose. I am worried they would stick or not even work.

Or maybe have them welded into the end of the tail pipe so that it is still inside steel, but it is easier to service since you can remove it from the rubber hose that joins the two. I am not sure if it wouldn't get stuck if it was in the rubber hose when it got hot and expanded or cooled and then got stuck.
