Can't save the pics from Wheat's site so you have to link it. Sorry. It's a pic of Roper with a "dear in the headlights" look.

Any suggestions on Gel coat repair in Conroe? Grandpa in a pontoon boat decided he wanted to take some of my gelcoat home with him last Sunday. Need to go get some estimates.

T-Bone - I saw a post where you recommended Jerry Davis at Conroe Fiberglass - is this the Eliminator dealer there on 105?

Yes it is but if you take it there you will more than likely have George Hodges doing the work. He does a decend job on gel work. He did a buch of little patches on my boat and didn't do a great job on matching color, but in his defense a 1986 model hull has several shades on it. I really don't know anyone else but T-bone had some work done to his. T-bone, who did you use?

Get an estimate from Hodges for your nsurance company. It will be high. Then have Donnie come to your storage and do the work. He is pretty good, and he isn't as expensive. He did some stuf for Joew, Tbone and myself. I only had him do glass work though.

Luckily, it's only about a 4" by 1/2" scratch through the gel. I know Spectrum still has the gelcoat that Baja used and being an 04 shouldn't be too hard to match. I just don't feel like messing with it since someone else is paying for it (probably a check - I doubt he'll want to go the insurance route).

Jeff - Who is Donnie? Got a number?
