Offer them $7-8k, use the 496 to build urself some nice modern power, and drop something cheap and stock into this boat and get it sold for 18k.

Offer them $1-3k, use the 496 to build urself some nice modern power, and drop something cheap and stock into this boat. This project will take you anywhere between 3 to 4 years to complete. After that then find someone to trade with you for a 1980 project boat to continue the process
