You are a lucky man. She didn;t say a NEW one. Get one before she notices her mistake.

I have been telling Spk1 he should do the same thing.

I wonder if that $8,000 included the transom work? The mechanic told me it was sold 2 weeks ago, and then it shows up on craigslist for $8,000 more???? hmmmm

That poor bastard. His first comment was "hull and engines in great shape". I'm sure he checked the outside of the transom but I bet he didn't check the inside. It is as rotten as they come. Will be a killer boat when he is done but after about another $30-40K.

It wouldnt cost that much

1500 for a transom, 3K to freshen 454s, 4 k for interior and cabin and 1500 for guages and lights.

I think the guy got a decent deal....

You know damn well it is never that easy. You're missing the new paint. No hydraulic steering. All new rub rail and deck hardware. guages, dash panel, throttles and shifters. New ****ter tanks and pumps (had water sitting up to the couches in the cabin). I'm sure there are plenty of other hidden goodies.

Trust me, I passed for good reason.

It is a great boat though. Once it is done.

I wish him the best of luck and am glad someone is going to rebuild her like she deserves. And yes, for $15K he got a hell of a deal.

Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't.

Got it! He just did an awesome redo on the houseboat "Dock Holiday", now at The Palms. Gonna sell it. He wants to get back to a performance boat.
