F-350 vs S-10
Since this is my tow vehicle and its out-of-service for a while, I had to share. A 16 year old kid pulls out in front of me in an old S-10 today and we hit head on.
I didnt have any time to brake so it was a solid 40mph hit. I knew we hit hard but I didnt feel it as much as he did.
I was really thankful that no one was hurt, I think if I had t-boned him, it would have been bad.
Another reason bigger is better...

Re: F-350 vs S-10
I know the axle is knocked back about 4 inches, it was moved down the leaf spring, not sure how bad everything else is though. I will go look at it closer today, I was to P.O.'d to get under it yesterday.
I am lucky he does have insurance, that seems to be a big problem these days, so many people driving and NOT being insured.

WOW, glad everyone is okay. I hate that you had this to happen to you.
Funny, but when I read the title of the thread I thought it was a joke about which truck could tow more!
The wife loves her Excursion for this exact reason.
Good luck with the repairs!
