Clutches and brake rotors. The clutch is ungodly pricey to replace (I didn't say repair as you can't) and the rotors will warp when they sit. They'll also warp if you get them overheated and then park it right away. But what won't- I just think they're a bit worse.

Other than that, the usual stuff you'd want to look at on an Italian exotic. I'd need to see maintenance records from day- 1 from a GOOD dealer's service department or a well-known independent. If the trans feels overly notchy once it's warmed up, the car has probably been driven hard by a guy who didn't know how.

I have a 94 Diablo VT and i absoluletly love it. Clutch's are expensive to replace , 4-6k, but only need replacing if not driven properly.
Are you looking to buy one? Don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

I have dealt with Lamborghini Dallas and Motorcars Intl and had great experiences.....I agree with PurpleStuff on calling these guys up.

If it were my money I would go for a '98 or '99 VT or SV...Less issues since Audi was involved starting in '98.

You should join www.lamborghini-talk.com or www.lambo-power.com more than likely someone there will know the exact vehicle you're looking at and can tell you if there are any gremlins you should know about.

Bergen County Lambo is located in Hackensack... they do have nice cars, but the salesman I dealt with was a dik who appeared like he was doing me a favor answering my questions. Maybe he had a bad day, but when you're peddling relatively low volume cars at high $ you better extend to me, the customer, your time and respect.

The front shocks and lift valves have issues and the early 90s had clutch issues as well.
I would go for a 98 or 99 SV if you can, more power , rear wheel drive etc.
My Yellow 98 is for sale at MotorCars International right now and is an immaculate low mile car. Dallas Lambo is also credible as they are the same company.
Which ever clean and documented Diablo you choose will just plain knock your socks off, if you have the open road to enjoy her!
Good Luck!
