I came VERY close to buying an 04' Viper. Then I saw the 65' Vette. I've always loved those mid 60's Sting Rays. Figured that in two years the Viper would lose 15K or more and the Vette would appreciate 15K or more.

And the 327/365's with those solid lifters and hot cam just sounds downright nasty through those sidepipes.

Then when the appraisal came back as great as it did it was a no brainer.

I would agree. We had a 53 VIN #032, a 62 and a 67 427/435 and each one of them appreciated very well. I had a Final Edition GTS and decided to trade up to an Final Edition ACR. I lost 35K when I sold it!! My old man also lost his a$$ on his two Vipers as well. He had two RT-10's.

The Vette's are solid investments. Esp. the vintage models

Thanks. They have been a lot of fun. The local Corvette and Camaro groups here in the Dallas area are really a great group of people. We have a benefit car show tomorrow for a family in need. They were trying to get organize the show for a nine year old boy with terminal brain tumors who loves cars, but sadly he passed away about two weeks ago. The show is now to help out his family. If anyone is interested in seeing some great cars come on out. I have been told that there will be between 200 - 275+ cars of all kinds.

Frisco (far north Dallas)
