Sydwaz: if I go with W/D will air bags be needed for rear suspension as this was the initial plan ILO W/D.

I'd go for the airbags regardless. I think they radically adjust the ride of the truck for the better even when not towing. They are basically an adjustable anti-sway bar for the rear end. Even when I purchase my dually, I am going to add airbags.
