Re: 2007 MegaCab Dually:
I just bought a 2006 Dodge 3500 dually to replace my 2003 Dodge dually last night. I had the opportunity to wait for the Mega cab with the funny rear fenders but opted not to due to a short bed only and a lower GVWR. Let somebody else do the r&d on the new models.........

That would be pretty cool with a long-bed, and every POSSIBLE option.
Probably miserable to park however, when they do the long-bed 4x4. . . .
However, in my mind, I see it with two-tone paint, nice Ricksons, the Cummins ( of course ) in 4x4, with leather and a dark tint - that thing would be the KING of the road. . . . I could possibly even consider the 'redneck stacks', if I wanted to draw a crowd. I'm not much for the stacks ( in most cases ), but that thing already will look like a locomotive in LB 4x4. May as well go all the way . . .
Yeah - I will like it fer sure ( maybe not as the daily driver ) . . . .

I have seen a couple in person. They had them at the National Rodeo in Denver in January. I like the truck; the Mega-Cab is exactly that, huge. Its just shy of a limo feel. The reason the bed is short, is they did not lengthen the frame of the truck. They shortened the bed and extended the cab. The wheelbase is actually .2 inches LONGER on the Quad-Cab with 8 foot bed; than the Mega-Cab with 6.25 foot bed. (160.5" vs. 160.3").
Overall, the Dodge has been known for its 'good looks' over the other three brands in recent years. With this change, and Ford doing more work on asthetics; the Dodge Mega-Cab is definately not as eye pleasing as the Quad-Cab or the new Fords. Chevy just missed the bus when they changed the front ends in 2003, but the GMC has consistant better styling. I just don't think I would buy a GMC simply because its a little harder to sell one, as most folks search online for Chevrolet, but not GMC.
