tandem axle eagle trailer brake replacement
I want to replace the brake assemblies on my 90 eagle trailer. It is the surge brake type. What is the trick to bleeding the brakes once i put the new assemblies on. Just use one of the hand quick bleeder type things? Also, is it the same method after changing the trailer coupler. Thanks

Re: tandem axle eagle trailer brake replacement
Have a mechanic friend who used a power bleeder on the reservior of my Eagle after replacing a line a few years ago. Slick way to go if you have access to one.
Another mechanic friend and I used low-pressurized air on the nipple fitting on the reservior cap to bleed the entire system after a rebuild. Trick with this is to keep the fliud level in the reservior high enough to not allow air back into the lines from the top.
