i think without question......if you have a deisel dually use it...

I wish it was a diesel!!! Its a 454 I think they almost get negitive MPG!!!!

I had a 2004 Denali (reg size) with the 6.0. Towing capacity was either 8,100 or 8,200; the XL had a lower rating if I remember correctly.

I towed my 28" Active Thunder on a double axle aluminum trailer & had no problems at all. The autoleveling/air shocks made it pretty comfortable and no big deal to tow.

Gas milage? About 10 mpg, not much better than your 454.

yeah thats a diff. story, dont know why i thought it was a diesel....tough call i know how those 7.4s suck fuel.

Besides... the xtra wheelbase on an XL makes all the difference in the WORLD with the Denali.... and yes my previous vehicle to the XL was a short one.....
