05 Excursion 4X4

05 Excursion 4X4
My 4 wheel drive wouldnt engage yesterday.... turn the knob and no light comes on and no 4 wheel drive tried manually to lock them in and nothing either... any advice other than to bring it in and yell at the dealer? 22K miles.... 6.0 PSD.

2. Go to all the Ford schools and buy the body diag computer for this vehicle.
3. Have Ford fix it under warranty.
Of all of them, #2 is probably not the best. Plus, if you dck with it and toast something expensive, you'll have to talk your way out of it with the Ford warranty rep.

Fuses were fine and it worked the day before perfectly. With the rain here over the weekend, I went through a HUGE puddle right brfore I tried to use it and I think something shorted out....

Dealer said the motor that engages my front differential was in pieces? He was holding part of it in his hand.... Is this right? I find it hard to believe this motor is located in a spot where it can be broken? WTF?
