wobble 500 on fuel alone is no tthat hard now adays with the efilive programs and the tts programs good exhaust and either a modified airbox or an aftermarket set up lift pumps and some deceint tranny work will put the truck over 500hp some react better than others and will land in the 530s and others around the 5teens.

On my Edge monitor I have the trans slip % on the screen the highest Ive seen was 4 %.

Doesn't the Allison trans when stock w/ no programmer defuel some between shifts anyway at WFO????

My 01 and 06 feel like the engine is defueling slightly between shifts. Both engines are stock. Still debating on trying the edge tuner when it becomes available for the LBZ. Actually looking more for a mileage tune than hp. The truck feels great stock.

the tunes will add both mileage(if you can keep your foot out of it) and hp most have different settings to choose from the lowest hp setting being the economy/tow tune this setting helps then you get into the bigger hp the further up you go.

I agree the LBZ is a monster in stock form. I see no reason to install a tuner. LBZ in combo with the manual selected 6 speed is key to towing. If 6th can't pull it just drop it to 5th and it brings the motor back to the sweet spot.

Just taking it to the ramp taking it easy The highest I will tow with is 3 and I watch the exhaust temp, and I don't accelerate enough to make it slip.It never kicks down around here.

Also I was told that the boost sensor only goes up to 30,so were not reading anything if it gets above 30.

I wonder what there doing to the trans to make is not slip and defuel. I heard the mod makes it pick up a 1/2 a sec in the quarter mile ???
