strip for the slip depending on how much power you want to put down a simple **** kit will get it done look at suncoast trannys they have 5 different stages of kits to match the hp and tq ratings stage 5 is a complete tranny ready to drop in stage 1 is a bunch of basic shift kit parts. as for the de fueling I had to send my box back to get them to take it out of the program so it stays fueled up. If you put the truck on the dyno and watch it they de fuel bad add the boxes and programmers and it gets worse.

second third possibly a 4th. before I did the stage 5 trans I hammered my stock trans and it would spin hitting second little chirp in third till I got over 40% slip Now with the new trans it bangs hard each shift.

Tried a predator programmer on my 06 Duramax 4x4 CC SWB 2500 last night..
Wow, on the 85hp setting without powerbraking, it started spinning the tires half way through 1st, spun em all the through 2nd and chirped 3rd; and that was not the impressive part, the accelaration in 4th & 5th left me with a big grin. 100 came up in no time with no sense that it was topping out.
Didn't have time to try the 120 setting and besides they recommend gages for that one.
It sucked having to put it back on stock tune.
I am waiting for the edge products as I believe that they offer better protection for the Allison, it's going to be a long wait

Re: D-Max at 1600plus TQ
I have a quadzilla programmeron my 02 duramax and im very pleased, but i think mine is defueling. i never knew that is what it was but it is doing the same as some of you guys. When it changes gears it wants to chug or heistate a bit then it comes back to life. if it would stay fueled up it would really fly, but probably slip a little more. anyone have any suggestions.

double j that is the same programmer that I am running with the race tune. they can alter it a little to not defuel as hard. It is also doing this for the slip in the tranny as well. a simple shift kit would help out as well. On the dyno with my stock dodge you can see it in the graphs defueling in shifts.
