Something in the same line, good street tire for towing and occasional pulling trailers on dirt or jobsites. thanks Jeff.

It's the same deal as Jassman,, the inside spacing on duals is critical, if they are to wide and rub together especially loaded,, they won't last across town!!
I can give you the spec's on that tire, O.D. & width if you want to call me, I don't have that info here at home.

If an 8 ply would work for ya, you could move up to a 285/70R17 and have a few more options.

Yes there are great prices on line, but the shipping kills the deal. This is what I have found. But sometimes you have to get them online because no one has specialty tires in stock and it takes them for ever to get them

Mitch how is an 8 ply vs the 10 I have on the dually now. What is involved in adding a spacer and will it effect anything towing, and or drivability. If this doesnt work, do you sell wheels and tire combo's I love the truck but want to fill the wheel well 1-3", prefer just the tires and happy with the stock wheel. Thanks Jeff

Jeff,
I don't think anything bigger will work with your rims, and here's why I'm saying that,,
your 245/75R17's are 9.7 inches wide and 31.5 overall diameter on a 7inch rim
a 265/70R16 is 10.7 wide and O.D. is 31.8 inches and calls for a 8 inch rim
a 285/70R17 is 11.5 inches wide and O.D. is 32.8 inches on a 8.5 inch rim
We don't stock wheels or spacers,, give Buck183 a call maybe he has some other ideas, he's in the lifting, lowering, wheel's, business or maybe someone else will chime in with other ideas. Maybe Bag it, and lower it the 2 or 3 inches your looking to fill. I hope this helps you!! Mitch

Jeff,
I would suggest checking out www.ricksontruck.com
They are super nice folks, and one of the girls there even gets on OSO once in a while. Going to a 19.5" wheel will give you better than stock towing, without the 22.5" price and shimmy while towing/turning.
I've talked with Rickson at length a few times. They reject 75% of the tires they get. They like to sell wheel & tire packages. They balance and true the tire to closest to round specs they can; which I have not heard of anyone doing. They even balance the dually wheels/tires together, and mark them so you can install them the same way.
