Wide Load?
Does anybody know what's considered AZ, CA, NV wide load? I'm considering a 55' MTI with a tilt trailer if needed but with the high winds out here I'd like to have a conventional trailer.

If I had the dough to buy a $1.5MM boat, someone else would be towing it- a professional wide-load driver on HIS insurance. You can get escorted, insured, permitted wide load transport for $2.50/mile. Why screw around?

what the fun in towwing a 55' long rig? I pull my 50' race trailer with an fl70 and it's a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!
besides the truck you'll need to haul that (especially if you've got hi winds to deal with) is gonna be major bucks. For the $$$ you'll spend on the truck you could pay for a hell of a lot of miles with a profesional hauler.
you will probably be too big for an MDT like a frieghliner m2 sportchassis. Start looking a full on semis!

ok, if you're on this forum, I think we all know you have a performance boat, and to tow that performance boat, you need a big tow rig. Both of which cost plenty of money. So, how does every body on his forum make the money they need to support this great "Hobby" we all know and love? Occupations? Investments? what?
