Magic and Mopower, I think both trucks are sweet! Mopower, how did the 06 grille fit? Been looking to do that, just haven't had the time.

The 05/06 grill will not work with the 04 bumper. However the ones they sell cut down will work as mentioned.

Or, you can change the bumper, grill and middle to the 05 style. It all bolts right up. The 05 headlights are the best mod, and you can do those with the stock grill/bumper, it just requires some cutting and a wiring harness (45 dollars), or make your own.

I had 2000 lights, went to 01-04 style and still wasn't happy. My friend has the projector and could not aim them at all.

I got my 05's for 250 off ebay for the pair.

Sure.

This is the guy who I bought mine from. He even supplied the black FX4 grill like I special requested when I bought mine.

Sydwayz,

Do you have a pic of your grill? Isn't the chrome grill plated plastic? Just wondering how they addressed the machining of the OEM grill to prevent the chrome plating from flaking off where they did the cutting.

I had an '00SD that had the cloudy headlights and now an '03 which is the clear lenses. So there is a difference from my '03 and the '05's??

I have a black painted one that is factory for the Ford FX4 option, so would not have any input on the chrome flaking.

Shoot the guy a message through eBay. He is extremely nice.

Yes, night and day. The 05's combine both the marker and the headlight housing, use a different bulb and light style. Basically they are a current model headlight, not the outdated ones from 04 and back.

linky:

They will fit with some cutting of the grill support, and a conversion wiring harness. You can also get them black in stead of chrome.. (harley davidson style).

Andy, the truck looks great!
If anyone wants an 06 bumper I will have a spare very soon. It only has a small imprint of my Dad's hitch where I backed into it when I was on drugs. If you squint real had you can hardly see it.
