Engine....pretty stock 406 with 80s Vette alum heads I have lying around....I had it for a truck I had but I sold it....Super Chevy Mag had a (big block) 'Impersonator' build up where they took a stock 406 put on a set of Vortec heads , changed the cam and 9:1 made 420 hp and 525 ft/lbs.....be a good low buck torquer to get the car up and rollin' and get the bugs out.....build the bullet later....D

Keep me posted Larry....you're one of the very few people on this site who "get it".....everybody around here crowds around and gaga's like a bunch of 10 yr olds over some exotic that someone went out and bought, just takes money, very little thought and no vision or skill required whatsoever.....thanks buddy!

Some more updates....going for a modified "period correct" interior, that is as period correct as modern safety will allow, doors open, windows roll up, this is the door bar set up we came up with....going to run the stock door pads and old school black face Autometer gauges in the dash

Cut out the recessed fuel filler from the race car and mounted it in the Chevelle...ordered a a gas cap assy from the Allstar catalog (instead of a dry break) and it bolted right in to the flange in the recess....gotta love stock cars!

Scored a set of Penske 7300 series shocks.....these are current Nascar technology in the Nationwide and Truck series....the Sprint Cup series uses the same shock with a remote reservoir set up....Im stoked about these!
