Looking at buying one for a year or two to use around the house. Anybody done this and found cheap insurance for them? My main company does not cover dumps period.

I was going to add a rollback to my fleet... until I got the insurance quote. Then I looked at what it did to my Worker's Comp. Much worse. They would have re--rated my entire operation and fleet as a towing company. The put towing companies in the same class as mines and foundrys. You can't get any higher up the scale, cost-wise.
These things can be very dangerous, especially when operated by the less-capable. I can't imagine anyone writing it on a non-commercial policy.
We just had an accident close by a couple weeks ago. Two dumps were offloading side-by-side. The wet load in one stuck at the top and it pulled the truck over sideways. It crushed the cab of the other dump, killing the driver.
