Bilstein 5100's and LTX MS2's here as well, probably one of the best riding load range (E/10ply) tires out there, sell a ton of them. I think next month the $70 rebate is coming out again on them. Not a ton of money but better than nothing.

As almost everyone above has confirmed, Bilstein makes a superior product. I used to tow my last boat (22-foot Stingray) with a Hummer H3. The truck was used for off-roading and had 35" tires and because of that and the weak factory suspension it did not tow well. Then I installed the Bilstein 5100 shocks (the trail duty extended models) and all was well. The rear end had way more control and the ride was excellent. Aside from a good set of tires this is the best money you can spend.*
*Unless you can install automatic load-leveling air suspension like my Navigator has, that's even better!

Try http://www.kennedydiesel.com/results...ubCategory3=19 for a good deal, I put their Bilsteins on and think the truck is improved over stock, they also have the extensions to let you crank the front bars a couple of turns without ruining the shocks.

Can't go with you on the at revo they are a soft tire,great in the snow and rain but i thought after a run to georga from wisconsin about the first third of the drive tires were gone? I got about 10,000 out of a set towing a 18,000# horse trailer.
The best tire I have ran for towing is the Firestone transforce ht.(second set) it's not a offroad tire but has low road noise, better fuel mileage, less wander and good wear. I have 145,000 on my 02 2500hd Duramax and all I use it for is a tow rig. It's a short box crew cab with a minor efi live tune,cold air intake and small exhaust.
I have Gabriel max control shocks on my truck now. (On the second set lifetime warranty) they have been better than the stockers and rancharos that I tried.
I also have Firestone air bags great investment!

Bilstiens are great shocks. The OEM's that come on some models are valved softer. KYB's would be bilstiens on a budget. If your a tinkerer, the next step up would be fox, then Kings. both have reservoirs and you can tune them by the nitrogen pressure in the rezzies, oil weight and valving. Dual lighter valved shocks will perform better than one heavy valved shock too.

Time had come for new tires for my truck. 2001 2500HD 8.1 . Talked to my tire guy about the Michelins. He knows my truck is not a daily driver and will sit for a month or more at a time and do nothing. He has a Motorhome and therefore puts tires on a lot of motorhomes too. He said he finds if the Michelins sit for long periods of time (like a motorhome does) they develop cracks along the bead and eventually where the tread meets the tire and the tire will have a pile of tread left but the cust wants to change them.. That is what he said and he is a Michelin dealer too.
He also said the Michelins get hard and they wont ware out but wet weather traction becomes terrible. Not proving or disproving but that is what he said and he sells a lot of tires. His DD is a 2010 2500 Dodge quad cab Cummins that he pulls a enclosed tri axle snowmobile trailer all over the place with with.
On his word I put on a set of these Cooper Discoverer AT3s. 265/75 16. 10 ply load range E. Made in USA.He said he doesnt have the cracking issues with the Coopers. Initial impression very quiet, smooth riding tire and very round, no 55mph shudder.Perfectly smooth from 0 to 110mph (as fast as I went) Havnt had them in rain yet we'll see. Only saved about $70 on the set over the Michelins so that wasnt really a factor.. Just thought Id throw this out there,

I have those Coopers on my errand/beater Dodge 2500 and have been VERY happy with them. I am a Cooper tire fan, and am running their 19.5 designed tires on my dually now as well.
