Leaving boat trailer hooked to truck all week.Will it hurt anything?

When doing such, I put the foot down on the tongue stand and raise the weight off the springs of the truck a bit. Lift it up about an inch from it's at rest state. It's good for the springs on the truck. and the main reason I do it is if someone tries to steal the truck and boat/trailer. it will make a helluva lot of noise on the way out of the driveway.

But back to the question I wouldnt think it would hurt unless its overloaded. But like anything the more you use it the quicker it gets worn out
