I learned that the "wear" or "age" effect can "sag" as much as 5° to 10°.
Factoring this in I can make a basic match to the Dexter 22.5° down #11 torsion. I guess I'll run the "T" series Dexters now.

Something to think about....Replace both, then the wear sage won't be an issue...keep the good old axle as an emergency spare.

I recently replaced my torsion axles from corrosion ( they were 10 yrs old and used 100% in salt) and I couldn't believe how much sag the old ones had since it occurs slowly. My trailer is small, 3500# axles and were 325 each from local guy who built the trailer. (Owens and Sons). I would replace both.

This is a triple axle trailer. The sag aspect enables a match when no specs are known and can't be found since the builder is out of business.
Triple axle trailers are built against axle builders advice of stay with twin and use heavier axles. With springs this is a non-issue but with torsions there is no way to protect against a single axle getting over loaded by the trailer and the terrain.
I can't find a 5200lb axle for less than $525 and the quotes I have are at $919 which I won't pay. I would love to find a 5200lb disc brake designed torsion axle built for triple installation at $325. At that price I would just do them all.

So you don't believe any of these will work?
