Go to any forum about either brand all of them have lots of issues, its where people go to talk about issues.

Be fair, the "roll out" of the new model brought an engine and tranny dating back to 2001......not exactly new parts there!

I had a Duramax, I currently drive a Ford and if I went diesel again it would be another Duramax for sure.

Essentially unchanged from 2011 mechaniacally- they tell me there were tweaks to the DEF system and DPF

We have 2012 with 70k on it bought new. ALOT of towing miles only 1 NOX SEnsor recall never was a problem but replaced because of the recall. Just bought another 2013 with 26 k on it. So now have 2. So far so good!

Just another Ford FYI....buddy had his ecoboost go boom last week. 2011 F150 crew 4X4, 42k miles. He is in his 50s, truck is bone stock/daily driver never tows/hauls anything big. Put pedal down to pass and traction control activated, truck shuddered and engine pushed a rod through the block. Ford is covering it under power train warranty.
