I have the one in the bottom picture. Holds up well and no marks anymore

No conspiracy, they just don't like competition. They will audit/remove negative posts/threads about site sponsors also. They are a business and in it for the money. Still lots of great info and members but they will censor what they wish.

As far as the Bow stop vs roller I would definitely go to a bow stop. It makes loading the boat easier plus the benefits of not scuffing.

Dump the roller altogether. The best you can can do is switch to the split Bow Stops.

Looking at it I'm pretty sure the roller isn't turning so the roller mod might be my best bet now. I will know more tomorrow.

The roller is not turning! I'm going to try BajaDan's roller mod.

Usually what happens is the bolt bends and then won't spin. Happened on my PQ trailer. When it turns all will be good.

I changed mine from the roller type, it always marked the bow, I bought the rubber blocks from myco they were about $40 each and made my own bow stop.

The rubber blocks are nice but I think the roller will be fine for my boat when it turns with the weight going up and forward. The fix is really simple too.

Sorry here's the finished product, can only post 10 pics at a time, I made it adjustable and kept it on the gelcoat and not on the painted sides.

That's a lot more boat than mine! Looks nice, I like the yellow & white . My concern is that as I winch my boat up the last few inches it comes upward and forward to support the weight of the bow a bit. With that set-up it would be trying to slide against the rubber blocks. Did I mention I like the yellow and white? (in the one pic it looks like the outboards are on it!)
