I am running Nitto terra grapler G2 35" on a 16' 2500 duramax with factory 18" wheels. Snow plow prep package, with keys cranked up just a touch. Slight rubbing on the frame at full lock, very minor and it doesnt bother me. Haven't towed with it yet so can't help there. But to answer your question it can be done, not sure if there is much difference in offset with the 20" etc.

level kit?
Im running 295 65r/20 Toyo Open Country. With a leveling kit in the front
They measure 33.5" and and I have a slight frame rub at Full lock left. Im not sure what Toyo claims on the size, but tape measure says 33.5". Tire width at the tread shoulder is right at 10". No trimming, 100% stock.
If you go any bigger you are going to need a lift kit.
Go to the Duramax forum and you will get to see every combination you can imagine before you buy.

Same set up on my 2019 3500 Denali....just a Rancho leveling kit (which is just different torsion bar keys) ....extremely simple to do and put the Toyo Open Country tires on it...have zero rub when turned full left or right

I’m running 35x12.5r20 on stock Chevy rims. Running a 4 inch lift would stop me from rubbing at full turn? If so what lift do you recommend?
