Hi, 26’ Profile, brand new alum. I beam trailer. It has zero tongue weight, I can lift it by hand. I could move boat forward but hate to since boat fits great, transom is even with the end of the bunks. Should I move the axles back? If so how much? Even thought of stacking a few flywheels on the trailer tongue to keep it simple! Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with having the bunks sticking out beyond the back of the boat. Actually, it's preferred as long as it won't interfere with anything.

You will also benefit from adding some forward V-bunks which will make the whole setup stiffer, as well as distribute the weight off JUST the winch stand, and onto the forward half of the trailer.

Id move the jack up to the actuator them move the bow stop up till you get the right amount of poundage, as long as the bunks will support it

In my humble opinion you simply have to get some of the weight onto some front bunks. You'll probably want 500 pounds or so tongue weight to make that decent to pull...

looks like the keel is pretty close to that cross brace ? dont know how far it can go forward

10% tongue weight should do the job. more is safe, less can be scary!

my sonic is 19 000 lbs on trailer and I have 1900lbs tongue weight and it pulls like it is not there !

Good catch on that. Not much room at all. Maybe adding a V-block bow stop would help prevent the keel from making contact.

I'd shorten the front main tongue where it meets the cross bar about 10-12". Then move the jack and bow stop forward and slide entire tongue backward. Maybe move the boat forward a few inches as well.

What does your boat weigh without the trailer and all your gears and fuel onboard?

What is the distance from the transom to the center line between both axles? If you can lift the trailer tongue up with the boat on the trailer. The center of gravity is between the axles.
