2022 Super Duty
Has anyone ordered or took delivery of a 2022 Super Duty yet? Order banks were open in March but the online configurator didn't go live until 2 weeks ago. I placed an order for a 2022 Lariat Value package 7.3 earlier this week. The Hertz Donlen site now shows order banks final orders due 8/13/21 for the 2022 MY Super Duty. That means a less than 6 month production run, odd. I believe the 2023 MY will bring significant exterior changes and we really like the looks of the 2020-2022 exterior and I really want the new dash which is why we placed an order for a 2022.

It's hard to find any definitive info on the 'Net still...I don't know of anyone who has ordered one and actually has a VIN assigned yet. The whole "chip shortage" really kicked Ford (and the others) in the balls...

I should have a Vin in the next couple weeks if I get one at all. I agree about the chip shortage, sounds like Ford is retooling sooner rather than later for the 2023 MY exterior changes. I will keep the thread updated as I receive information.

I was going to order a 22 this week. I’ll have to see what a 23 will look like if that’s what I’ll be getting

My buddy ordered a 2021 F250 Supercrew 4x4 powerstroke, it came in about 9 weeks later. It was a goofy trim, STX and it was still 58K or something stupid. Dealer was trying to kill him on the trade (2018 F150) and he ended up walking out. He had the new one locked in on some type of employee plan so they couldn't make any money on that end but they could on the trade. He has been in the car business for 35+ years so he wasn't afraid to walk out.

I was planning on ordering one this past week and then choked on my configured price. $85k. WTF? My '05 F350 6.0 with almost all the same options was a hair over $32k out the door. Think I'll be going a couple years old this time purely out of principal. $85k... Unf'nbelievable.

Years ago I bought a new Explorer. 2011 was the first year of the new body style, I didn't love it but we went to look again at 2012s, they didn't have a big selection, went back in Feb/Mar 2012 and they had a lot full of 2013s! We bought a limited 2013 despite it being in the first quarter of the 2012.

I hear they are still worth just under 30 or so??. Only 125K miles. Will be keeping for a while at these prices. and NO Def chit.
EDIT-- Sorry-- Nothing to do w 22 Fords lol

Trade in value in Illinois is high right now do to the lack of new vehicles available. I was going to trade my 14 F250 with 130 miles and was shocked at what they were going to give me. The problem is they were asking over list for anything new that was still available. Like others have said trying to order a new 22 is almost impossible now and I need it to pull the boat so I am stuck. I either get a great trade in dollar and pay over list for what is left, and picked over, or wait until I can order a 23. I can hardly wait to see what the price will be on those.
