Default 6.2 HumVee

I picked up a new toy Couldn't pass it up at the price. And it helped the local VFW out of a bind.
It's an 85 or so 6.2 GM Deisel. Was told it was driven to where it is sitting now.
Getting ready to tow it home. Where do I start? Going to drain the fuel and all fluids and filters then give it a Go. Was told it was running rough when parked.
Probably need injectors. Was also told it probably was Air Force with the fiberglass hat.
Lots of rock crawling right by our lake house. What could go wrong

Any GM Deisel guys on here with some advice on what all to check? Only 23K on the odometer. Few pics for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks In advance.

Don't be a Florida man (Cleetus) and try to drive it under water!

Enjoy
Few farmers in the area use them for tractors.

Thanks for the ideas but I can say the transplant is out of the question for a while.

Any advice on the 6.2? Or is it that bad?

The 6.2 isn't that bad. They have some injection pump issues and head gasket issues, but with that low of miles it should run well.

Picked up a pair of batteries from Interstate. Learned it is a 24V system.
Having it towed to a shop Wed. We shall see.
Thanks Snap- I have heard the injector issues but not Pump so thanks for that. Going to have shop go thru everything.
I guess pressure test should show any head gasket issues.
Anybody know where we can get a Turret?? Asking for a friend
