The new ones looked like a squashed elephant with wheels. and as for putting Alcoas on one, thats like putting spinners on a 1981 toyota carolla.

Re: dually trucks as daily drivers
Since we bought our 4 door short bed dually a year ago it's the only thing my wife drives. She loves the thing. Hell I sold her mini van a couple of months ago, and she barely even noticed.

I'm looking at a 2004 Dodge 3500 tonight. It's a new leftover with 4 miles. Has the Hemi. Dealer is taking 10k off MSRP. It's not extended cab, but I think I can live with that. Any thoughts on this truck with the Hemi and 4.10 gears? I currently have a '01 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with the off road package with 35" BFGs. My boat is a '00 Powerquest 260 Legend SX. My current truck handles it fine, but the hills are a bit of a workout with the 5.9. What's the opinions of this potential new truck. PS, it's not white either

I'm lucky the wife puts up with the F250 as her daily driver, dually would be pushing it.

Re: dually trucks as daily drivers
i have an 89 GMC with 120k miles mainly used for hauling toys. As a daily driver it blows. Sucks gas like crazy (454). The seats suck. and the suspension is rock solid. As a matter of fact i think it rides better with my 36' gooseneck attached.
Its horrible in the snow. Has a little to much grunt to be good in the rain. And is a pain in the ass to park.
The newer ones ride a little nicer and the sears are definatly more comfortable.
My advice, get yourself an old beat up one liek i got use it srictly for towing and get a nice normal car for a daily driver.
