K planes on a 280
Anyone have pictures of thier 280's with K-planes? I have owned this boat for a year and love it. It's all stubbed out for the Tabs...Indicators, controls, even the wiring for the switches is there.......just no tabs. I have the last pieces to the puzzle now and am trying to figure out where to mount them. If anyone has suggestings or best practices, I'd like to hear from you.
Thanks J

Thanks, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear.
Did you order the boat with them or add them after? How fast are you going with what power? Is your Avatar your boat?

Re: K planes on a 280
My boat was a race boat in a previous life.... so it was all set up when I bought it. It was used to set the F1 speed record in 2002 at 83.95 with a stock 500EFI, now runs 82gps with a windshield & cabin, same motor but has been warmed up a little. In the usual configuration (loaded with beer and gas.... and light-wieght bikinis!) it is a 78 mph boat.
Besides making it a breeze to get on plane with a race-labbed hydro, the tabs make all the difference in keeping the ride tolerable (ie- no broken beer bottles in the cooler and no bruises underneath the aforementioned bikinis!) while still running with the big boys (65+) in 2-3 footers.
