If you are serious on this Bill where would you be in terms of dollars? Send me a PM if you don't want to throw it out here. Or call, you've got my number.

I have a 89/05 Velocity 30 race boat. I am unsure of the actual year because the vin is one from the costguard. If anybody knows where to find the vin location other than the stern please let me know. The only thing needed to complete this baby are engines. It had 454 blowers that topped out at 103mph. Here are a couple of pics

Re: Here's another 1980 30'
Any info on this boat would be greatly appreciated. I would love to know the history. The title is from the coast guard which has the year as 1989. I heard the Steve was disapointed with the quality from Regal but I took a chance anyway because I loved the boat. I purchased this from a guy near Cambridge MD with no trans or power. I now have the trans but still looking for engines. I would like to race this year in the OPA series or just some poker runs.

Sorry to semi Hijack,
can anyone approximate GPH on an 89 30' Regal Velocity w 454s? I'm looking at buying one and interested in the range w 150 gallon tank at modest cruising speed say 3200 rpm? (I was told it has a 150 G tank, is that correct?)
I'll probably stick w the 454s for a season before upgrading.
I've heard that Steve wasn't happy w Regal quality.
I don't know how Regal quality was 15 years ago but they claim to be all about quality construction now.
Does anyone have personal ezperience with Regal quality issues from when they were building the boats?
you can email me of that is too off topic from the thread.
Thanks
Evan

I had a 1987 30ft Velocity that I did a restoration on. I loved that boat and with realitive mild power it kept up with newer boats with bigger power. I was in my early twenty's and it was my first redo, now I would have done a couple of things different but you live and learn. Fun Boat!!! The new 322 is the same hull with a different deck and swim platform.
I seem to remember while I had the interior out during the redo that the VIN was behind the combing panel on the driver side, I think it was simply spray painted on the inside of the hull.
