I have a 23' VCelocity I am about to do the bildge area on. I too am using BildgeKoat. Before you painted, did you do any prep other then ripping up the carpet adn placing the trim pump oput of the way? Sanding etc?

Thanks

Bvaley,
There was a lot of prep work. The carpet adhesive and remnants are a pain in the a&& to get off. I scrubbed it down with degreaser a couple of times, then I used acetone. I sanded the whole area, wiped with brushing liquid, primed, sanded, wiped, and then painted.

Putting the final touches on the boat this weekend. Hope to get it fired up tomorrow. Had to align the engine this morning. what a pain in the A$$ that was! Few odds and ends left, hope to have it in the water within the next two week ends. Hopefully my mechanic doesn't quit on me!!!!

When I aligned the engine, I had to raise it a little over 3/4 of an inch. That really helped with the angle of the carb as posted in previous pics. I will post pics to compare.

Bill, I am hoping that is is worth it too! There were a few times I could have fired up the chainsaw on it!!! Hard to make progress in the summer with all the family functions. Not too many free weekends. Good luck with yours. Read in another thread that you want to step up to a 39? I love the looks of the 39's myself!

I have gotten as much out of the 320 that I can get and Steve Stepp said himself,if you go any faster in that 320 you need to go bigger so that is what I am looking to do,I can not wait for Velcity Fest this year it will be a blast. Are you going.

Did you modify your engine mount brackets at all?

I did not have to modify the brackets at all. The mounts are adjustable. Just would be easier with 2 people!
