Pod is fiberglassed and foam removed with acetone. On a test on the foam the resin ate the foam like acid so I covered the pod with a thin coat of elmers glue, let it dry before adding the resin and fiberglass.

I got the aluminum panels cut out today and did some bondo and sanding need a little more and it will be ready for paint, I sent all the gauges I bought on e-bay to Livorsi and had the rims changed to polished stainless and have them all tested before the install. I will be using the mustard bezels to accent the stainless rims.

I have just a little more to go and this project will be over. I still have to cover the rocker switch panel and the tab / drive panel, I waited to show you the before and after. none of the panels are screwed in so everything is not exactly lined up yet, More later.

I ended up covering the panels with a voilet purple carbon fiber look vinyl, The gauge faces are also black carbon fiber. I had Livorsi test the gauges and change the mustard gauge rims , the were bubbling for some reason, to polished stainless rims and used the mustard bezels.

Where did you source the carbon fiber look vinyl from? I can see many applications for this material. Thanks.

Absolutely tremendous!!!!
I love it. Awesome work. I am going to redo my gauge panel but I dont think I have as much talent as you. I too was thinking about using the corbon fiber vinyl look. I hope you can give me some advise after i start.
By the way are your old gauges still good? want to sell them? I may be interested.
Another thought I had was to cover my gauge panel with appliance epoxy(white)
Still kicking around Ideas but you just gave me some new thoughts.
Pete
