Ran 71.8 with the 5.7 Vortec setup which was rated a 300-325 hp depending on who was selling it. I have no idea what it will run.......... I am planning on hyd. steering and poss. trim tabs...
It will take some seat time to get used to it thats for sure!

Well VV, I fired mine up on my Dyno today. Little embarassed about the stained transom, but the wifey didn't come straight home with the cleaner like I told her to! Just Kidding!
Not finished rigging it out yet. Need some different AN fitings an make/buy a bracket for the MSD.

How long do you think it will last with all that power?

Yes it is.......... We shall see. It is the original drive with 891 hrs on it so it does not owe me anything. It has had higher hp motors in front of it before. I do treat it real nice though!! If it goes I will put another one on! I don't see the need to upgrade just yet...

VV,
i've been following this thread for a while now and it's nice to see your project coming along. i thought i would have been able to add some numbers to the mix as well, but i too am waiting patiently for my motor to be finished/built.. here's some pics of the boat..
Dkerns, awesome motor, hopefully i will be able to fill my engine bay soon, oh well, i still have a month or so of good weather left down here in Bermuda, so hopefully i will able to post some #'s soon....

Steve Stepp called me this morning out of the blue, About my project. He told me there is someone in Verginia has a 320. Hooked up @ 114 MPH. He didn't know what power he had but it must be a bunch.
