Mike and Jordan,

You have done a fantastic job on the restoration process of Still Crazy. It looks as good as it did in the early eighties when it sat outside our shop between races, for engine swaps.

As previously noted, Mike and Dick Fullam indeed two of the good guys and they would be very proud of your accomplishments.

I think your crew certainly had the biggest smiles on ALL DAY on Saturday. Glad you joined us.

If you go to my video thread there is a few seconds of you running under the Buckman bridge at the 2:50 mark of the video labeled "2nd group". You got some sweet air crossing our wake right at that moment.

Welcome to the Poker Run Addiction Club.

I know my mom was not referring to the Still Crazy Velocity race boat when she wrote the above, just want to clarify for those that don't know the particulars that the boat my uncle Mike died in was the 38' Cougar Catamaran and not the Velocity that we restored, which he raced for two years before his death.

I would not have put the enormous effort, time, money and heart into restoring the Cougar as it only stands for loss and hurt to my family. The Velocity on the other hand, stood for a bright period in his life when he was racing with good friends and when two of his kids were born. Restoring the Still Crazy Velocity has been a dream since day one and will at least for me, forever keep the memory of my uncle's life alive and his desire to live life to the fullest.

Thank you again to everyone that has chimed in and tracked our progress. You certainly haven't seen the last from us as we still haven't finished the boat completely. I look forward to updates as we dial her in, and look forward to meeting and talking to many more of you at runs and events in the future.

I'd also like to thank my beautiful wife Tanya, who has seen her husband only a handful of times on the weekend for the last eight months. I was motivated to finish the boat by a lot of things, but one of the biggest was the desire to get it done so I could get back to enjoying life with her. Without her unbelievable understanding and unconditional support, we certainly wouldn't be where we are today.

Here's some photos from the weekend.

One last thank you for now, to Steve and Kim Stepp who have become like family. We owe so much to you it's hard to put into words. My whole family will forever be grateful for the love and effort you have put into bringing Still Crazy back to life, and for the compassion and generosity you have shown to Mike and myself. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

See you soon,

Jordan

Larry and Doug, thank you for taking the time to post. We love getting as much information on the boat's history as possible. Hopefully one day we'll get a chance to meet and chat about the past.

One of the bests thread on OSO. My Dad was a friend of Mike and raced with him back in the 80's. GREAT job with this boat!
