30' Velocity Testing...
Got a new set of props a week ago and was able to get out yesterday and test.
Brand new stock 28" Quad IV's, 1990 30' w/ stock 502 MPI's. Stock Bravo I's turning out.
Roughly 1/4 tank of fuel, 3 adults, and hotter than balls yesterday morning.
Got a best of 77.3 mph... Motors are about 100 RPM's apart, one at 5000, other at 4900. Handling was great though. Boat felt aired out and even felt the tail end dancing around a bit with the tabs up around 2-3.
Happy with that considering the weather and 3 people. Really want this thing to run 80 though...

Try the Bravo's, had a Quad IV on my 280 and the Bravo handled better, better midrange, top end, everything.

Hydro QIV's spinning IN is the most common set-up for the 30/32's hulls. Best top end with very solid handling up to 90 or so.
But unlike my 32', my 39' likes Bravo's better due to the extra blade area!

There is a couple for sale but i can't vouch for condition. I would say for a decent one it's gonna be $20-30k. Mine cosmetically is damn near perfect. The nice ones are getting harder to find.
