Long story, but doesn't anyone know of a set of Arnesons or surface drives on a big Velocity? Has this happened, how did it go etc.?

A single 22 would be an interesting little ride.
Any idea if the 41 saw the "typical" efficiency gain with that bottom? I like the reliability aspect for sure, but didn't know if it was a stable set-up and saw better cruise and top end speeds.

The 41' Tom was referring to was a nice looking boat but certainly a science project. It debuted at the 2006 Miami in water boat show. I think Velocity attempted too many changes at the same time with the boat. It was their first Sport Utility Boat design (similar to the 30 except no outboards), it had Yanmars and it had ASD's. I know it had a significant number of initial issues and I'm not sure if it ever met expectations as there was very little information forthcoming. I had heard that the boat was badly damaged when dropped from either a travel lift or forklift onto the ground. That's the last I heard about it.
