Default 280 with 630hp speed

Can anyone tell me how fast a 280 would be with 630hp?

Just doing some winter dreaming.

Thanks

I seen a video with Kenny that the 290 with a 525 should do 85. I thought/hoped it would be closer to 90 but I'm only in the dreaming stages now lol.

My concern is that damn bravo drive. Has any one got an arneson drive to work on a smaller Velocity?

Agree on the 82 - 84 MPH. The 290/VR-1 hull is faster no question. If you throttle it properly you should be just fine running a Bravo with 625 HP on a 280. My 280 has 615 HP and reliably ran a STANDARD Bravo X for many years. Bravo XR's are rated for 600 HP and the Velocities are more Bravo drive friendly then step hulls so I'd go that way first. If you're still concerned I'd look into the Bravo Drive Guardian system which Saris Racing has used very successfully for a couple of OPA racing seasons. There's no Velocity single arneson set-ups that I'm aware and probably for good reason. Besides being a very expensive proposition for likely a 10 year old plus 280, the performance outcome is uncertain and there are other practical drawbacks as well.

Thanks for the info everyone.

How is the 29 different than the 280? I'm talking about the weekender, not the vr. I always thought they were very close.

I agree with Revd Up, I've got 798hp , has run honest 96 couple times on gps and gps speedo, but will run 93 anytime with bravo. Any faster would need imco lower or more power it would need imco upper.
