Default Thanks to Velocity Scott McCormick

I wanted to take a minute and thank Scott for welcoming me to the new Velocity facility and taking more time than he should have giving me a tour and answering all my dopey questions. I was in the Orlando area and showed up unannounced on a Friday. Scott came out and offered to show me the boats in production. If any hardcore Velocity owners have any doubt about the direction the company is headed, you should take time out to visit and see the incredible quality of layup and rigging of the boats coming off the line. All composite construction. There were several models in various stages of build so all was open to view. There are also a few of the past era boats in storage to make comparisons. Velocity has some exciting projects in the works that I’m looking forward to following.

Thanks for the update, good to hear what's going on. I contacted Scott on some fabric I needed to update my boat and he was very helpful. I have looked at other boats, but when I see the issues with stepped hulls flipping over and pad bottoms spinning out, I love my Velocity. I was horsing around trying to chase an A10 (yeah I know, so I'm a little crazy) on lake Huron, I was running 85 and doing 180's as he was doing the same. We ran several passes back and forth together and the Velocity was glued to the water. He ended up giving me the wing wave as he flew over, most fun I've ever had on the water. The ride, handling and performance is just fantastic.
