IN the Powerboat article, I believe they said the new 36 could be had with a canopy has anyone seen this yet and if so post some pics. I finally broke down and paid for a membership, so now I can see the pics.

Rumor I heard down at the Key West Worlds this year is that Velocity will be building a Super V Lite raceboat for next year. It is going to be based off of the VR1 hull design. Should be an interesting piece.

The VR1 hull does'nt meet the minimum length requirement for super v light

I thought the VR1 was a 29' version making it legal. Please correct me if I am wrong.

VR-1 measures 25' 10 1/2" from bow to transom. 29' w/ swim platform

Thanks for the info Bob. Never knew the true measurements of that boat. Again I am only going on what I heard down in Key West but then again it is usely good to believe when you see it when it comes to this sport. Thanks again.

the new 30' will be a good candidate for SVL. It is probably a year out though with the amount of time it will take to re-tool the deck and add the canopy.
