Chicago/Detroit Boat Show 496 Upgrade
An earlier Chicago boat show thread referenced Jeff Ziegler of Modern Marine in Schoolcraft, MI building an upgraded 496 using Raylar parts. The engine he had on display in Chicago is for my VR-1 and it will also be on display at the Detroit boat show next week. Here's another attempt to post a picture. With the new intake, aluminum heads, Dooley oil pan and Bassett tri-Y headers it sure doesn't look like a 496 anymore and the paint job really sets it all off nicely.

Looking forward to getting the engine on the dyno after the boat shows, etc. Raylar said he's seen around 600 HP.

RAYLAR says alot of stuff Tyler will get running for ya I hope RAy dosnt ssssssstring you along summers to short in detroit .Ithink he scraps alluminum and when he gets enough he makes aset of heads.
