Cutting edge, Give them a call Auggie does great work.
BTW- Greg is longer with Cutting edge and emails do not work call Auggie at this number- they have treated me excellent customer service on three different occasions and from personal expereience I have used other prop company's and Cutting edge will get my business.

Opie272, I personally don't know what went down out there, but as stated above Gregg H is no longer involved. I was able to speak with Auggie when I last called and feel that's who you need to speak too about your tuning questions. No doubt they are a "small" operation, but I found their workmanship and pricing to be good in my application.
On a side note, I was fairly aware that going with 5-blades would probably result in higher slip numbers vs a 3 or 4 blade before I started using them. I'm no prop expert for sure, but thru research found a 25p 3-blade is gonna out perform a 25p 5-blade on top end by a few mph. Ya get into all these design aspects like rake, cup, and the related drag that someone on this forum like BBlades could explain in great detail.
In my case, I ask them to build these 5-blades because I was looking to hook up a bunch of torque in a small boat that needed some serious stern lift. Plus the pitch degree I wanted to try was beyond that being offered in an "off the shelf" prop at the time. Rather than spend a couple grand to someone like Hering for a full race tuned prop when I had little idea what I really needed, gave these guys a shot. For the price of a stock bravo unit, got exactly what I requested, a heavier built blade that resolved several other issues I wanted to address. Are my slip #'s higher than I expected? Certainly... Can those numbers be lowered, I believe there is room for improvement, but every style boat performs differently and this usually takes time and money to sort out.
Since I believe the first custom 5-blades they built were mine, the performance data I returned on how it helped me, might be all wrong for you. Just saying.. In my case, I realize several other factors are now impacting my top speed more than any prop can overcome. Once I address those issues, I'll feel more confident about going back after lowering my slip #.
Hope that helps ya..

I just picked up a 25 pitch Bravo one 4 blade for my 23' ultra from cutting edge and this prop is amazing. Compared to my Bravo one Merc 24 pitch, it's faster out of the hole and I gained about 3 to 4 MPH on the top end. Talk to the owner Augustine and he will work with you until you get the speed and RPM's right. He just reworked the prop for the 3rd time and I'm about to test it out. So far, I've reduced the RPM's by about 100 and gained about 2MHP each try. The last time out, I hit just over 73MHP and I'm hoping to hit 75+ this time around. His prices are great too.

Anyone have a contact number for Augie? I called the contact number on the website and have left 6 message and no call back. Either they r very busy or worst customer service I have seen.

I just spoke with Ulysses (sp?)
Appears like the business is up and rolling again. Kudos to them for sticking it out and trying to recover from the mess the past owner created. They now have my props and have them in line to be evaluated.
After talking to Ulysses I got the impression they have a whole different business attitude than previous owner.
This is the number I used to contact them. (949) 394-3236.
